Plot：
In October, 1962, U-2 surveillance photos reveal that the Soviet Union is in the process of placing nuclear weapons in Cuba. These weapons have the capability of wiping out most of the Eastern and Southern United States in minutes if they become operational. President John F. Kennedy and his advisors must come up with a plan of action against the Soviets. Kennedy is determined to show that he is strong enough to stand up to the threat, and the Pentagon advises U.S. military strikes against Cuba--which could lead the way to another U.S. invasion of the island. However, Kennedy is reluctant to follow through, because a U.S. invasion could cause the Soviets to retaliate in Europe. A nuclear showdown appears to be almost inevitable. Can it be prevented?

情節：
古巴飛彈危機是發生在1962年10月14日，華盛頓的美國情報官員在進行例行情報資料分析時，從飛臨古巴上空的U-2飛機所拍攝照片中發現了重要情況：蘇聯正在古巴首都哈瓦那西南的聖克利斯托瓦爾修建基地，部署中短程導彈和運載核武器的伊爾-28重型轟炸機。令人恐懼的是從這些基地發射的導彈，可以擊中從秘魯利馬到加拿大哈得遜灣的大多數美洲重要城市。
當白宮得知此消息後，引起上上下下的恐慌，幸好當時的總統約翰肯尼迪和其弟羅伯特肯尼迪能夠冷靜應對。10月22日美國東部時間晚上7點，肯尼迪總統在白宮他的書房裡，向美國和全世界發表廣播講話，通告了蘇聯在古巴部署核導彈的事實，並指出，這“秘密、迅速和異乎尋常的導彈設施”是“蓄意的挑釁和對現狀作出的毫無道理的改變，是美國不能接受的”，有效的緩解了美國人民心中的恐慌。同時美國單方面公開向蘇聯發出警告，要求蘇聯從古巴撤出其中短程核武器，並以美國海空力量在加勒比海的廣大海域對古巴設立了海上封鎖線，進行所謂的“隔離”。就這樣，在當時世界兩個超級大國——美國和蘇聯之間爆發了一場危機，將整個世界帶到了核災難的邊緣，全世界最危險的十三天，身為安全顧問的肯尼斯歐唐納該如何用智慧與勇氣，協助甘迺迪總統化解這一場危機呢?
心得:
In my opinion the film is “must watch movie of life”. It succeeds in representing the presidency as demanding very high intelligence and cool. No one should see the movie expecting to learn exactly what happened. But the film comes close enough to truth. It seeks the same in creating an atmosphere through the scenes and the film reflects a type of historical truth. Film, color images and black and white images of cross-Indian, said some of the historical facts of the record were interspersed clips from time to time which deepened film dignified sense of history. This is the most exciting and coolest movie that I’ve ever seen! And this is an inspiring movie that I am here to recommend to you.

我認為驚爆十三天是“此生必看電影”。它成功的描繪了身為總統所需的聰明智慧與冷靜的判斷。我想應該沒有人會期待可以透過電影了解事實的真相，畢竟電影總是需要經過改編但這部電影的敘述卻相當到位。而他利用電影反映歷史真相的類型電影也創造了一種獨特的風格。整部片透過彩色和黑白畫面呈現，再由歷史記錄片穿插其中，使他在我們心中更顯尊嚴。這是我見過最刺激且最酷的電影！一部相當鼓舞人心的電影推薦給您。
