《介紹》
Sir Elton Hercules John, CBE (born Reginald Kenneth Dwight; 25 March 1947), as famous person who is an English singer-songwriter, composer and pianist. In his four-decade career, he has sold more than 200 million records, making him one of the most successful artists of all time.
The song was a remake of "Candle in the Wind" by Sir Elton John that was released as a memorial to Diana, Princess of Wales; with over 35 million copies sold, it was the best-selling single of all time.
The 1997 version of "Candle in the Wind" was based on the 1973 version of "Candle in the Wind," released by Elton John. The lyrics of that earlier version, written by Bernie Taupin, were a tribute to Marilyn Monroe. The opening lines of the 1973 version, "Goodbye Norma Jean, though I never knew you at all," were adapted to "Goodbye England's rose, may you ever grow in our hearts." In fact, most of the lyrics were adapted to suit the circumstances of Diana's life and death, but a notable and poignantly ironic omission was the line, "Even when you died, the press still hounded you..."
歌的作者艾爾頓強（Elton John）出身英國皇家音樂學院，平素作曲及舞台表演均以鋼琴為主，儘管其舞台作風極盡誇張之能事，但作品產量豐富，且品質絕佳，故有“鋼琴怪傑”、“搖滾莫札特”之稱譽
這首歌是為紀念黛安娜王妃的去世，以原來為瑪麗蓮‧夢露所作的Candle In the Wind改寫歌詞而成。這首歌在一九九七年九月發行時，一週內就賣出約三百五十萬張，打破歷年單曲單周銷售的記錄。
這首歌同樣用燭火來譬喻聲名如瑪麗蓮‧夢露的黛妃。但是原曲中在風雨中飄搖的燭火，引人對於瑪麗蓮‧夢露所受到好萊塢的摧殘掬一把同情淚，但在這裡卻變成了在風雨中照耀不熄的燭光，在意義上有很大的區別。顯示黛妃在英國的新精神領袖地位精。另外曲中用Golden Child這樣的形容詞來強調她的生命早逝，燭火雖然終究熄滅，但是她的傳奇將永遠常留，精神不死，永庇英國，長存於愛戴她的人民心中。

Princess Diana’s death is a significant matter to England’s people and their history. And as a friend, I think the song tell us how sorrow that the composer face to the death of his friend. To me, the reason I want to share the song is not only that the song really hit my heart, and also I think the composer is a really talent person in the music area. So, except for sharing the song, I also want to advice you to listen to the creations of Elton John.
