出的時而諷喻憤慨、時而表達個人喜悅卻都發人省思的詞句，為通俗音樂創造了全新的語言，開啟更為寬廣

的道路。

1941年5月24日生於美國明尼蘇達州Duluth市的Bob，本名是Robert Allen Zimmerman，基於崇拜名詩人

Dylan Thomas的原因，而取“Bob Dylan ”做為他的藝名，以期許自己的音樂成就能如Dylan Thomas般。

1961年元月24日，Bob 抵達當代民謠音樂的發詳地－紐約的格林威治村求發展，首先，他拜訪了其心目中

的民謠英雄，有“抗議之父”美稱的Woody Guthrie ，從他那學習獨特的唱腔及口琴技法。隨後，便在當

地的咖啡廳內演唱，且由於“紐約時報”Robert Shelton的讚揚與大力推薦，而與Columbia唱片公司簽下

合約，於當年發行了其首張同名專輯。

Bob 的前四張專輯，大都是些描繪政治百態的抗議性民謠作品，且已儼然是Woody Guthrie 的繼承者。

1965年的第五張專輯“Bringing It All Back Home ”專輯，Bob率先採用電吉他並加入搖滾之聲，而引發

了一場民謠搖滾的革命。之後，Bob又陸續發表了30張專輯，樂風從民謠、搖滾、藍調、鄉村到福音都有。

1992年底，Bob又再次用空心吉他伴奏，以在錄音室內做現場表演的方式完成其個人第36張專輯

“Good As I Been To You”，亦是其自1965年以後，27年來的首張完全不以任何帶電樂器伴奏的專輯，

既不採用製作人、也不重覆錄音或是使用任何錄音室技巧來修飾，充份展現出Bob被人忽略已久的吉他彈奏

功力、及其獨特無人能模仿、呢喃般如在透露秘密的演唱風格。

1991年，象徵西洋流行樂壇最高榮譽的葛萊美獎為表彰Bob Dylan三十年來的卓越貢獻，故而頒予Bob

「終身成就獎」。這對於影響樂壇及美國社會運動變革至深的Bob 而言，可說是絕對的實至名歸。

1997年6月，Bob突因胸口劇痛而被送往醫院急救，還好在醫護人員全力搶救下，這位一代巨擘安然渡過危

險期，逐漸恢復健康。8月，一張集結近40年歌壇生涯最佳作品紀錄的精選輯“The Best Of Bob Dylan”

問市，旋即打入英國專輯榜Top 10，證明Bob的作品絕對經得起時代的考驗。這張精選輯首度同時收錄了

Bob最具代表性的歌曲，「Blowing In The Wind」、「Like A Rolling Stone」、」、「If Not For You」

「Knocking On Heaven‘s Door」、「The Times They Are A-Changin’」等樂迷耳熟能詳的歌曲。

超過三十年的音樂生涯，Bob Dylan以啟發人性的搖滾精神及對政治、社會現象的聲討、批判，成為後輩仿

效的指標，為他贏得“文化英雄”“ 搖滾鬥士” “天才詩人” “音樂界良心”等美名，而1988年的晉身

“搖滾名人殿堂”、1991年的獲頒葛萊美的“終生成就獎”，更可說是實至名歸。Bob Dylan的成就，早

已遙遙超過他所崇拜的詩人Dylan Thomas之上了！

Bob Dylan在傳奇性的民歌宗師 Woody Guthrie啟迪下進入民歌界，很快的以獨特的風格在格林威治村以

及各大校園受到注意。1962年四月，他以深具內涵的創作技巧寫出膾炙人口的歌「Blowing in the Wind」

的時候，才二十出頭。這是Bob Dylan最早的「抗議歌曲」，對人們傳統觀念中「男子漢」的定義提出了質

疑，希望世人能以和平而理性的態度來解決爭端，不要再對世間的不幸視而不見、聽而不聞，更不要再讓無

辜的人們繼續喪生在戰火之中。 不過， 儘管 Bob Dylan的創作內函受到了肯定，他的歌喉卻實在不討喜，

因此他早期的好些作品都是藉由其他藝人的歌聲才成名的，其中又以 Peter, Paul & Mary功勞最大，連續

唱紅了好幾首他的作品。這支三重唱也是美國民歌史上最重要的團體之一，除了完美的和聲之外，三位團員

積極參與各種抗議的群眾運動，數十年如一日，堅持的信念跟態度跟他們的歌聲一樣出名。          

他們成立於 1961年，「Blowing in the Wind」也是他們藉以成名的最重要作品之一。

 

背景：

這是美國民歌史上最重要的作品之一，原作者是被公認為民歌一代宗師的 Bob Dylan，不過第一個把它

唱紅的卻是 Peter, Paul & Mary三重唱，並且在 1963年奪得全美排行的亞軍。第二次世界大戰，使得

所有參戰國都元氣大傷，美國也不例外。戰後的新生代由於不願重蹈父兄的覆轍，建立起了新的價值觀，

對於上一代所喜愛的一切，幾乎全盤予以否定，甚至開創了全新的搖滾文化。1957年，越戰爆發，美國

介入了這場戰爭，投入大量人力、物力，還派遣子弟兵遠渡重洋，前往越南戰場，造成了慘重的傷亡，

因此美國社會掀起了一股反戰的熱潮。在這同時，民歌也開始在全美各地校園流行起來，許多知識青年

不僅利用他們所創作的民歌發表抗議的聲音，更積極的加入示威的群眾運動。
      雖然「Blowing in the Wind」的時代背景是越戰時期的美國社會，但是這首歌的意境卻可以說是

「放諸四海而皆準」，同時始終深受世界各地人們的喜愛。當東歐與中東各地戰火頻傳、當國人為政府

與某些民間企業的不當措施採取激烈抗爭手段的時候，總是令人不禁又想起這首歌曲。

介紹：

    故事從一間醫院的病房正式開始。戲裡的兩個主角：卡特·錢柏斯（摩根·費里曼飾）和愛德華·科爾（傑克·尼克遜飾）在那間病房內首次碰頭。卡特是一名非常聰明的人，對歷史非常熟悉，也有一個美滿的家庭。他的志願是當一個歷史教授，但是因為他年輕時的社會風氣（黑人不得做高薪的工作），和他的女朋友懷有他的孩子，他被逼淪為一家車房的修理員工，過一個藍領工人的生活。愛德華與卡特剛剛相反。他是富商一名，但是個人脾氣非常古怪。多次離婚也使他的家庭生活不美滿。他們一起接受治療，也變成了好朋友。當卡特和愛德華雙雙得到末期癌症的壞信息後，卡特開始寫下他臨死前想做的事情。愛德華看到那張清單後就決定利用他（將來帶不進棺材）的錢和卡特做他想做的事。雖然卡特的老婆極力反對，卡特也同意跟愛德華實現他死前的夢想。

 

    他們倆就開始環遊世界。他們首先去玩高空跳傘，然後租了兩輛懷舊跑車去賽車。然後，他們去了攀登金字塔，去了非洲打獵，還嘗試攀登喜馬拉雅山，但是大雪令到他們不能攀登。在路途當中，他們倆談及了他們對家庭和信仰的意見。談及途中，愛德華發現卡特對他妻子的愛越來越小。卡特也發現愛德華對他女兒離棄他非常痛心。當年，愛德華發現了他女兒被她的丈夫虐待，所以他派了一些人去好好地「招呼」她女兒的丈夫。愛德華的女兒知道以後就與她爸爸脫離關係。愛德華一向對此事非常傷心。

 

   卡特在回到美國的時候幫愛德華與他的女兒修補關係。但是，愛德華沒有勇氣面對他的女兒，所以他一時發難，離開卡特。卡特就這樣地返回他的家，與他的妻子和家庭快快樂樂地重聚。可是，快樂的時間非常的短。卡特的癌症已經擴散到他的腦部。諷刺的是，和卡特一樣患有末期愛德華已經康復。愛德華在公司開會時收到這個消息後立即趕到醫院探望卡特。在這時，愛德華就向卡特解釋世界上最貴的咖啡是甚麼製做出來。原來麝香貓咖啡（Kopi Luwak，也是愛德華最喜歡的咖啡）是由吃咖啡豆的麝香貓排泄出來糞便中提煉而成的。卡特聽完以後就與愛德華大笑一頓，與此同時也完成了清單上一個願望：笑到哭為止。當時，深知自己時日無多的卡特說服愛德華要自己完成清單內沒完成的願望。

 

    過了不久，醫生為卡特進行了腦部手術。愛德華離開醫院時開了卡特留下給他的信。卡特在信內說雖然他與愛德華的旅程最後不歡而散，但是，如果他可以再選擇的話，他也會選擇與愛德華環遊世界。卡特也叮囑愛德華要尋找他生命裡的歡樂。愛德華看罷信後就去了他女兒的家探訪她，與此同時嘗試修補關係。愛德華的女兒不但原諒愛德華，還介紹她的女兒給愛德華。愛德華從來沒有知道他是別人的爺爺。在他擁抱和親吻他孫女後，愛德華也完成了清單上一個願望：與世界上最美麗的女子親吻。

 

    卡特的手術最後失敗，卡特也在手術桌上去世。愛德華在卡特的葬禮中歌頌了卡特，還說卡特最後的日子是愛德華一生中最開心的。與任何人一樣，愛德華最後也離開了人間，終年81歲。愛德華吩咐了他的助理把他的骨灰放在卡特的旁邊。他們倆就葬在喜馬拉雅山上（即使是非法行為）。

 

Summary

 

Blue-collar mechanic Carter Chambers (Freeman) and billionaire hospital magnate Edward Cole (Nicholson) meet for the first time in the hospital after both have been diagnosed with terminal lung cancer. They become friends as they undergo their respective treatments. Carter is a gifted amateur historian and family man who had wanted to become a history professor, but in his youth had been "broke, black, and with a baby on the way", and thus never rose above his job at the McCreath body shop. Edward is a four-time divorced healthcare tycoon and cultured loner who enjoys nothing more than tormenting his personal valet/servant, Matthew (Hayes), whom he calls Thomas. He makes Matthew serve Carter as well as him and orders his employee and doctor (Morrow) to familiarize himself with Carter's health.

 

Carter begins writing a "bucket list," or things to do before he "kicks the bucket" (i.e dies). After hearing he has less than a year, Carter wads it up and tosses it on the floor. Edward finds it the next morning. He urges Carter to do everything on the list (suggesting he add things like skydiving) and offers to finance the trip. Carter agrees, despite the protests of his wife, Virginia (Todd).

 

The pair begins an around-the-world vacation. Edward does skydiving with Carter(Skydiving), wears tattoo on his hand, climbing the Pyramids, drives the Shellby Mustang with Carter, ride the bike on the Great Wall of China(ride on the Great Wall of China) and going on a lion safari in Africa. They discuss a rare coffee and its unusual taste. Atop a tomb, viewing the Egyptian Pyramids, they confide about faith and family, revealing that Carter has long been feeling less in love with his wife and that Edward is deeply hurt by his estrangement with his only daughter, who disowned him after he sent some people to "take care of" her abusive husband.On the drive back, Carter reciprocates by trying to reunite Edward with his daughter. Edward angrily storms off. Carter returns home to his wife, children, and grandchildren where they have a nice family dinner telling stories and sharing jokes while a frustrated Cole stays home alone eating frozen dinners alone.The family reunion is short-lived. In the preparation for a romantic interlude, Carter suffers a seizure and is rushed to the hospital. The cancer has spread to his brain. Edward, who is now in remission, visits him and they share a few moments, where Carter reveals to great amusement the disgusting origin of the "world's most rare coffee" (Kopi Luwak), over which Edward obsesses and Carter has refused to drink. Carter crosses off "laugh till I cry" from his bucket list and insists Edward finish the list without him. Carter goes into surgery but the procedure is unsuccessful. He dies on the operating table.

 

Edward delivers a eulogy at the funeral, explaining that he and Carter had been complete strangers, but the last three months of Carter's life were the best three months of his (Edward's). He crosses off "help a complete stranger for a common good" from the list. We see Edward finally attempt to reconcile with his daughter. She not only accepts him back into her life but also introduces him to the granddaughter he never knew he had. After greeting the little girl with a kiss on the cheek, Edward crosses "kiss the most beautiful girl in the world" off the list.

 

In the epilogue, it is revealed that Edward lived until the age of 81, and his ashes are brought to the top of the Himalayas. It turns out to be Matthew who does this, and as he places a Chock Full o' Nuts coffee can alongside another can, he crosses off the last item on the Bucket List ("witness something truly majestic") and places it between the coffee cans. Carter's narration reveals that the two cans contain their ashes and that Edward would've loved his place buried in the mountains....because it was illegal.

    人生－充滿奇妙旅程！在看電影時，心裡有股淡淡的愁、卻又帶著無數令人捧腹大笑的情節、以及每次看完總是會重燃雄心壯志的熱血！幸運的是，我在這個年紀懂了主角們在年邁時才領悟出來的道理，美好人生永遠不嫌晚，把人生當作一場旅行，看事情的角度也就更廣更透徹了！我想…有時，人生就是須要一個期限，更能讓我們產生扭轉自己的人生的動力吧！
